Welcome to The Wild Yeast Diaries
Hi there, and welcome! I’m Audrey, and I’m so excited to share my sourdough journey with you. It all started just a few months ago when a friend told me about the September Sampler Workshops at Camp McDowell. As I browsed the options, one class immediately caught my eye: Sourdough Pizza Making with Chef Erin Maher. Intrigued, I invited my friend Celi to join me, and off we went.
To say we had a blast is an understatement! I’d never really baked much before—sure, I’d made cookies or the occasional boxed brownies, but never from scratch. One class with Erin and her sidekick Sarah changed all of that. I was hooked.
What started with sourdough pizza quickly grew into an obsession with all things sourdough. Bread was next, followed by muffins, cookies, and even more experiments. Who knew flour, water, and wild yeast could turn into something so magical?
When I’m not elbow-deep in dough, I work as a JBloom jewelry designer, helping women feel confident and beautiful with timeless accessories. Whether kneading a perfect loaf or styling a standout outfit, I love bringing creativity and joy into everyday life.
